About The Open Document Format (ODF)

The Open Document Format is an open standard for representing electronic files such as spreadsheets and word processing documents as xml. Each complete volume has been made available as ODF (file extension .odt) to make it easier to re-use the text and images. Many software suites support this format, including Microsoft Office 2007 for Windows, Google Docs, Open Office and Libre Office.
